The difference between a chain anchor chain and a gearless chain
- Aug 23, 2018 -

According to the structure of the anchor chain, the anchor chain can be divided into a chain anchor chain and a non-stop anchor chain. The chain link of the chain anchor chain is provided with a crosspiece. When the size and material are the same, the strength of the chain anchor chain is larger than that of the unsteered anchor chain, the deformation is small, and the stacking time is not easy to twist, and is modernized. Medium-sized ships are widely used. The chain of the chainless chain has no crosspiece and is generally only suitable for small ships. According to the relevant regulations, when the diameter of the anchor chain equipped as required does not exceed 17 mm, it is possible to replace the geared chain with a non-stop anchor chain with the same test load or a wire rope or fiber rope with the same load.

It is used to produce anchor chain steel grade with chain anchor chain. The welding anchor chain is divided into three grades of M1, M2 and M3. The cast steel anchor chain is divided into two grades of M2 and M3. Add A in front of the corresponding level code (such as AM2) to indicate that there is a chain, and B to indicate that there is no chain (there are two levels of BM1 and BM2). The higher the steel grade, the greater the tensile strength. AM1 grade anchor chain steel is killed steel, AM2, AM3 grade anchor chain steel is fully sedative fine grain treated steel. For the same ship, if the steel with high strength is selected, the size of the anchor chain can be appropriately reduced.

A complete chain of anchors is first connected to each other by a plurality of anchor chain rings to form a chain link of a certain length, and then a plurality of chain links are connected by a connecting link or a connecting shackle to form an entire chain.
